Film met Emeric Ellis-Bextor (22) - David Duchovny wordt hippe regisseur
David Duchovny is klaarblijkelijk aan een tweede carrière begonnen. Hij heeft zich een hip ringbaardje aangemeten en profileert zich als filmregisseur. Zijn eerste film is getiteld House of D. De film featuret naast Duchovny zelf ondermeer Erykah Badu en Robin Williams.
U kan het lezen op zijn blog. Yes, Duchovny is ook een verwoede blogger en zijn posts zijn nogal populair. Gemiddeld rond de 150 comments per post is niet slecht.

Fijn om op die blog te zien dat David zijn persoonlijke hitlijst van de seventies er heeft opgezwierd.

1. MELISSA - Allman Bros - Heartbreaking faux cowboy love song. Whispers of eternity and sacrifice. Greg Allman sings like he knows the feeling.
2. THANK YOU - Sly and the Family Stone - Funky funk funk with wise lyrics. It gets into your chest like a snake then attacks your head till you are its prey.
3. ISIS - Bob Dylan - It's all in there if you can unpack it.
4. SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL - Al Green - If you put this on for her and you don't get any, you never will.
5. WILD HORSES - Rolling Stones - Best rock love song ever.
6. STRAWBERRY LETTER 22 - Shuggie Otis - Magic, funk and a bellringing that rings in my dreams.
7. LANDSLIDE - Fleetwood Mac - Yeah I know it's kinda weak, but Stevie Nicks feels it and I went through my first break up with this song. Sue me.
8. SAMBA PA TI - Santana - Greatest rock love song ever without lyrics. You can make up your own story to this one and it's always good.
9. BUILD ME UP BUTTERCUP - The Foundations - Because it makes me happy.
10. PASTTIME PARADISE - Stevie Wonder - Coolio knows.
11. SATELLITE OF LOVE - Lou Reed - It's like a sweet and sour sauce.
12. HOME AT LAST - Steely Dan - The world in a grain of sand.
Ook leuk om de 90 (!!) comments te lezen, met heel wat Amerikaans gelul ("David, you rock!" en meer van dat). Wist je trouwens dat er een song bestaat die David Duchovny heet?
