Blogs en de zakenwereld, het is geen evident kartel. Bloggoeroe Jason Calacanis is één van de weinigen die hierin slaagt ( zie interview What's in initials met Didi Bota (27)).

En Hund i snor, al zeggen we het zelf. Want intussen zitten we al aan de vijfentwintigste sponsor ! Met dank aan Atom Kerkorian and Warre Ceuppens. De nieuwe sponsor komt uit Australië. In dat land had Hund i snor nog geen poot aan de grond.

Er komen steeds meer gespecialiseerde produkten voor honden en katten op de markt. De sektor van de hondenprodukten zit zelfs mega in de lift. Zo is er sinds kort nagellak voor honden en produkten om de vacht te verven (bijvoorbeeld goudkleurig, oranje of roze).

De sponsor die Hund i snor nu aan de haak heeft geslagen is aktief in het segment van de zonnebrilletjes voor honden, zogenaamde "doggles".

Een verdeler van die doggles is Angus Donovan, in een vorig leven nog bassist van The Australian Doors ( en overigens een neef van Jason Donovan uit Neighbours ).

Why did you decide to become a dealer of doggles ?

Angus Donovan
Well, you know, down under we get plenty of sun, you know. And without sunglasses it's tough. Even for dogs. Since we split up with the Australian Doors - well, we didn't really split, our leadsinger Tim Morrisson died of an overdose - I had nothing to do. I didn't fancy becoming a soap actor like Jason. So I decided to go into this sunglasses business. As a rocker you always wear sunglasses so I was quite experienced with it.

Hell yes ! Our company wants to be the Ray-Ban of doggles, you know.

Well, you know, down under, we really have a good market, but we wanted to be strong players on the booming international market as well. And Hund i snor has quite an international profile, haven't you ?
